Dennis Rowland, Regional Vice President

Dennis got his start in the floor covering industry in 1977, working as an installer in Wyoming and Phoenix. He joined Carpet One in 1994. For the past 28 years, Dennis has been in management performing many roles from customer service technician, installation manager, sales manager, store manager to operations officer. Recently, Dennis was named Regional Vice President of the Northern Arizona Division of Primera Carpet One. "Customer service sets us apart," he says. "Customer service is not a department, it is an attitude. We will take care of you.

Tammi Smith, Design Consultant

Tammi joined Carpet One in 2003 as an administrative assistant to the sales manager, and since 2006 has been a design consultant on the retail sales floor. She works equally well with builders and homeowners and goes the "extra mile" to create an exceptional customer experience. Tammi is known for her friendly demeanor and knowledge of the products, which immediately instills customer confidence. She works tirelessly to create complete satisfaction. Tammi brings a multitude of experiences to Carpet One in home sales, design, finance, and appliances. This broad experience greatly assists the customer in making wise, well-thought-out choices. She has completed the Sales Certification program through the Installation Excellence curriculum offered by Carpet One.

Ruth Draeger, Commercial Account Executive

Ruth returned to Carpet One after a 9-year jaunt in the behavioral health field. Before that, Ruth spent 21 years in the flooring industry. Her work involved providing technical information and specifications for school districts, architects, and developers in all flooring venues. She then helped the company she worked for in California to develop a hard surface program and a fabrication shop for granite along with estimating and design. She later moved back to Prescott in 2001, working in the flooring industry as an estimator and running installation crews. Ruth now works as our commercial account executive.

Kelly Marturello, Purchasing/Finance Coordinator

Kelly Marturello is our purchasing agent, accounts receivable, and accounting person. She comes from the Phoenix area, with 30+ years of flooring experience. Kelly was in sales for most of her career and has now changed to the office/accounting side. She has been with Primera for over 6 years.

Kathy Durbin, Internal Operations Coordinator

Kathy has spent the last 30+ years in the industry. She has been involved in almost every aspect of the interior/exterior trades – from sales to purchasing to installation to scheduling. Having moved to the Prescott Valley area in 1987, she has seen an astounding amount of growth. Kathy says that working with the Builder's Supervisors has been a highlight in her career. She's passionate about her work and always enjoys hearing customers' happy responses.

Brandon Mathein, Field Operations Manager

I am very proud to be a native of the White Mountains and Phoenix area of Arizona.  I entered the construction industry in 1999 working with my father, a tradesman and home builder in Phoenix, I really took to framing houses and flooring. I’ve always been eager to see the finished result of hard work and preparation. Here at Primera Carpet One I oversee all Field Operations. Working hand and hand with our sales team and estimators to take a customer’s vision from ideas to reality is a truly rewarding experience. 

Bob McLaughlin, Field Service Representative

I have spent the last 38+ years as a flooring installer installing all aspects of flooring and hard surfaces. I recently moved to Prescott Valley from the Phoenix area in March 2023. I started with the Primera Carpet One team in May 2023.  I enjoy working with the builders and the retail customers on a day-to-day basis. I am looking forward to continued success with Primera Carpet One and our customers.

Matthew Sylliaasen, Staff Estimator

I have been in the ceramic tile industry for the past 40 + years. I moved to Prescott Valley from Tucson in 2019. I started my career with Primera Carpet One in the spring of 2024 as the staff estimator. I am excited to bring my deep knowledge to Primera and to be a part of a dynamic team. I enjoy the customer interaction I have when I am in the customer’s home helping them realize their vision. I look forward to a long and fruitful association with Primera Carpet One.

Robert Stalnaker, Design Consultant

Rob boasts over two decades of experience in the cabinetry industry, beginning his career in the late 1990s as a service technician with Huntwood Cabinetry in Phoenix. His expertise in cabinet installation quickly expanded when he moved to Timberlake.

Rob further honed his skills at Merillat, where he was part of the team that completed a remarkable cabinet installation for "Extreme Makeover" under a tight deadline. His role as a Field Representative for Pulte Homes involved managing projects in communities like New Rive, Stetson, and Anthem. Rob is also Mohawk certified in wood finish and repair and was once rated as the second-best installer in Arizona by Masco.

Following a brief hiatus from the industry during the 2007 economic downturn, Rob returned with renewed focus and has spent the last 12 years in Prescott as a kitchen designer and sales expert. Rob joined Primera Carpet One in 2024 bringing his skills portfolio with him to assist with providing world class service and expertise to our customers.

Outside of work, Rob has been happily married to his best friend Bree for 28 years, and they have two sons, aged 22 and 25.

Rob’s extensive experience and dedication make him a key player in the cabinetry field, as well as flooring and countertops, bringing invaluable knowledge to each project.

Robert Peterkin, Sales & Administrative Assistant

Robert is a seasoned professional with a strong background in customer service, sales, and financial advising. Starting with AT&T U-verse, he excelled in sales training and outside sales, refining his ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver exceptional service.

At Primerica, Robert expanded his expertise in life insurance and financial advising, handling term life policies, debt reduction, and retirement planning. His role required analytical skills and the ability to simplify complex information for clients.

With over 5 years of customer service experience, Robert brought his skills and experience to Primera Carpet One in early 2024. Robert is adept at addressing client needs and concerns, ensuring positive customer experiences. His technical proficiency and diverse skill set make him a valuable asset to Primera Carpet One.
